The gardens and the terrace face east: beautiful sunlight in the morning and breakfast in the cool morning sun on the terrace. Shade in the warm Provencal afternoons for a cool apéro. Six pairs of tall French doors open up to the terrace from the three salons.

From the terrace you descend a few steps into the gardens with its mature trees and shrubs, providing areas of sun and shade throughout the day. The splashing water of the tall fountain provides a sense of tranquility when you enjoy your rest in one of the lounge chairs, either in the sun or in the shade. Garden lights have been installed everywhere. In combination with the beautifully illuminated Arc de Triomphe, they provide a fairy like atmosphere for your dinner parties on the terrace with family or friends.

Around the swimming pool you can enjoy the sun, but also relax in the shade of the tall oleander shrubs that bloom all summer long. At the eastern wall, the pedestrian gate gives you access to the rotunda. Opening that gate, you are in full view of the Arc the Triomphe, only a couple of steps away.

At the southeastern corner large electric double entrance gates with intercom provides entrance for vehicles along a shaded tree-lined drive. At the south and west ends of the grounds there is ample parking space for up to ten vehicles. The entrance to the indoor garage is at the west facade of the building.

If at any given moment you wish to give up this tranquility, the sights and sounds of the lively city of Orange are 5 minutes walk from the gate. Take a walk along the small historic streets, visit the 2000 year old Théàtre Antique, or the modern shops in the centre. Enjoy an espresso or a bon vin blanc on one of the many squares of the town or exchange the latest news with the welcoming inhabitants of this provincial town, who you will get acquainted with in no time. Everybody knows Villa de l’Arc because of its exceptional location.
